Workshop Overview
The PMI-ACP® Exam Preparation Workshop offered by AIMC is a an interactive workshop crafted to equip participants with a solid foundation in Agile project management, with a dedicated focus on both Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
By the end of the program, participants will gain essential knowledge of Agile practices that can enhance project delivery outcomes. They will also be better positioned to identify which Agile certifications align best with their professional goals.
The workshop also fosters the development of an Agile mindset, empowering participants to apply these principles effectively in real-world project environments.
Workshop Structure
The workshop is delivered as:
- 3 Days of instructor-led, activity-based sessions (8 hours per day)
3-Hour Self-Assessment Exam to simulate the ACP exam experience
1-Hour Application Support Session to guide participants in preparing their PMI-ACP® exam application
We offer flexible delivery formats to suit individual and organizational needs:
Live Online Training: Default mode for open-enrollment sessions
- Self Study Mode: Suitable for participants who cant attend the live training. Includes access to recorded lecture sessions to be completed at your own pace.
In-Person Training: Available for corporate clients with larger audience (cost may vary based on location and logistics)
ACP Certification Roadmap
Before You Apply: Confirm Your Eligibility
Ensure you meet one of the below criteria:
- Either
Secondary diploma (high-school diploma, GED), or equivalent
2 years agile experience within last 5 years
- Or
- Secondary diploma (high-school diploma, GED), or equivalent
- Active PMP credential
If you fulfill any one criterion, follow the remaining steps:
Step 1: Enroll in the ACP® Exam Prep Workshop (Mandatory)
Join AIMC’s ACP® Exam Preparation Workshop to fulfill the mandatory requirement of 28 contact hours (aka PDUs) training, and build a solid foundation in PMI’s project management standards.
Step 3: Prepare for the Exam
Study using the workshop materials, complete mock exams, and benchmark your performance. Participants in the Pass Surety track will receive additional resources and support until they’re fully exam-ready.
Step 4: Submit Your Application to PMI
We guide you through the application process to ensure a smooth submission. PMI typically takes 5 business days to review and approve applications.
Step 5: Schedule Your Exam
Once approved, you can schedule your exam online via Pearson VUE — choose either an in-person test center or online proctored option.
Step 6: Take the ACP® Exam
The ACP exam consists of 120 questions to be completed in 180 minutes. Exam result is available typically within 24-48 hours
Step 7: Earn Your ACP® Credential
Upon passing the exam, you will officially become a PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)®. You can now use the ‘PMI-ACP’ title next to your name.
Step 8: Maintain Your ACP® Credential
To keep your ACP® certification active, PMI requires that you earn 30 Professional Development Units (PDUs) every three years.
